Chris Jagger has a charismatic, warm personality with a forthright, dry sense of humour. He exudes onstage energy whether playing guitar, harp, singing or thrumming the washboard. The band are superb, smoothly blending an organic musical and cultural mix of sounds – there’s a great feeling of raw talent with a nod to ‘50’s skiffle, the band somehow incorporate rock, swamp/country blues and cajun sounds with a touch of Irish! This is fun stuff.

Picture of Chris Jagger Chris Jagger made two records for Billy Gaff and David Geffen in the 1970's. Since 1994 he has recorded 4 albums containing strong and original songs. Forget the comparisons, his ability as a singer, frontman and writer cannot be doubted and 2009 finds him busier than ever. Recently Chris presented a Radio 2 documentary on Alexis Korner, has been filming for a TV documentary on bluesmen in Texas. Chris works with his band 'Atcha!' and sometimes with smaller acoustic lineups, when not engaged in rural pursuits and writing songs.

Picture of Charlie Hart

He produced Orchestra Virunga and Diz and the Doormen, composed music for the Oscar-nominated animated film Triangle and appeared in the feature film Stormy Monday. Besides working with Chris and the band, Charlie is currently concentrating on producing roots and jazz artists in his own Equator Studios, London.

He has worked with Herbie Flowers, Chip Taylor, PP Arnold, Geoff Muldaur, Arthur Brown, Big Sugar, Turning Green, Shona Foster, My Rocket 88. Jim co-produced, mixed, played electric and acoustic guitars on 'Act of Faith'. Jim composes music for film and theatre productions, Lyric theatre London being one of his recent credits, and is currently much in demand as a double bass player and producer.
