Synopsis:The film is based on the diaries of 23 year-old Colin Clark. In the summer of 1956, Clark is just down from Oxford and is trying to make his way in the films as an assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl. The film stars Sir Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe.

Marilyn is in Britain on her honeymoon with her new husband, playwright Arthur Miller. When Miller leaves the country, Colin Clark introduces Marilyn to British life and they spend a week together, during which time she escapes from her Hollywood routine and the pressures of work.

Summary: The film chronicles a week when Marilyn Monroe escapes Hollywood and embraces British life with Colin Clark.
