The Wooburn Festival runs 20th September 2010 to 24th October 2010 in and around Wooburn and High Wycombe.

 


The Box Office is operated by The Wycombe Swan Ticket Office. It is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Trudy Kerr and Ingrid James  Pic
 Jazz

On Saturday 2nd October we present a Jazz supper with Singers Trudy Kerr and Ingrid James accompanied by the Geoff Gascoyne Band.

 


 Chamber Concerts

On:
Friday, 8th October The Heath String Quartet are performing at St. Paul's Church.
Friday, 15th October Eleanor Bron introduces chamber group Counterpoise at St. Paul's Church.


 Visual Arts
The Visual Arts Exhibition has built a reputation for excellence over many years and this year looks like being no exception with works from artists both familiar and new. This year the featured artist is the late Paul Stevenson. Plan a vist to St Pauls Church Hall between Saturday 9th and Saturday 16th October

Following the sucess last year of the Photographic Exhibition a further event is planned with work from 6 photographers at Bourne End Library from Tuesday 21st to Saturday 16th October

This exhibition is open during normal library opening times and entry is free.

 Folk

On Sunday, 17th October we have the folk group 4Square at our Folk Supper.

 Film

On Tuesday 28 September we are showing the Julian Fellowes film From Time to Time at the National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield.
Then on Thursday 30 September Quentin Falk is talking to Julian Fellowes about his career in film.

On Monday 18th October Quentin Falk introduces An American in Paris, his selection for the film at this years festival.

 


 Orchestral Music

On Sunday, 24th October
City of London Sinfonia
and Holst Singers give an Orchestral and Choral Concert at the Wycombe Swan


 Local History Walks

For the past 2 years Wooburn Festival has been recreating the extremely popular series of Local History walks that were led by the late Brian Wheals. We are repeating a walk again this year on Sunday 26th September at 10:30.

We have changed the format of the walk to a self guided walk using a map and historical notes based on Brian's original notes, and so the walk can be followed at any time.

If you missed either of the previous walks, copies of the maps and notes for the last 2 years can be purchased at Bourne End Library.


 Wooburn Park Sports Association 10Km Race plus 3Km Fun Run

On Sunday, 12th September the Wooburn Festival is supporting the Wooburn Park Sports Association in running their 8th Annual 10 Kilometre Road Race.
