A walk of some 6 miles round the rim of the Wooburn Valley to view the sites of the departed paper mills which in times gone by made Wooburn a hive of industry; and from an earlier era the site of King Harold’s palace (1066 and all that).

Based on a walk originally devised by local historian Brian Wheals. The walk is unguided but Diana Johnson has produced a map with history notes which will be available at the start (£1.50).

This walk was originally organised by local historian Brian Wheals, his widow Ann has kindly helped with the details for the route.

FREE (£1.50 for map with history notes)
